Inspired by both Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film: Romeo & Juliet, and Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ story, photographer Kat Alyst expanded on the foundation of just on a “Romeo” figure in life after death– in a paradise without a beloved Juliet, but with the peaceful depiction that shows serenity in this outcome. The model wears romantic colors and textures, while staring at the viewer in the majority of images– allowing the viewer just a moment of visitation into the blurred line of their surreal and fashion paradise.
